2023 Lemelson Vineyards "Theas Selection" Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, Oregon, USA
Raspberry, black cherry and pomegranate lead into sandalwood, cinnamon and black tea. Rich tannins frame this organically farmed estate Pinot Noir, with black cherry and cocoa lingering on a long finish.
ABOUT THE WINE
The 2023 Thea’s Selection Pinot Noir brings together estate fruit from five organically farmed vineyards in the northern Willamette Valley. Mostly destemmed fruit spent more than 30 days on the skins, with indigenous yeasts guiding fermentation, followed by 15 months in French oak barrels, 22% new. The nose is lively with raspberry, black cherry and pomegranate, layered with sandalwood, cinnamon, forest floor and black tea. Rich tannins carry the wine into a long finish with lingering black cherry and cocoa notes.
Grape: Pinot Noir Alcohol: 13.6% ABV Farming: Certified organic by Oregon Tilth
