Sourced from the storied slopes of the Corton hill—where marl, limestone, and red clay soils meet at high elevation—this Grand Cru Pinot Noir expresses the raw, age-worthy potential of its origin. In 2023, a temperate growing season with well-timed rains and a long harvest window allowed for optimal ripeness and concentration. The fruit, hand-harvested and meticulously sorted, underwent a partial whole-cluster fermentation and was vinified with indigenous yeasts. The wine was aged for 18 months in 50% new French oak, adding layers of structure and spice without overwhelming the fruit.

The result is a Corton of impressive stature and clarity: brooding dark fruits layered with notes of forest floor, smoke, and graphite. While youthful now, the wine possesses the structure to evolve beautifully over two decades or more. Serve with game birds, roasted lamb, or aged cheeses like Époisses or Beaufort for a transcendent pairing.
