2023 Schloss Gobelsburg "Zöbing" Riesling, Kamptal, Austria
Delicate aromas lead to a palate of pear with hints of quince and white peach. This wine is light, elegant, and floral. Subtle notes of pineapple lead to a lively acidity on the finish.

ABOUT THIS PRODUCER
Schloss Gobelsburg, the oldest wine estate in Kamptal’s Danube region, traces its winemaking back to the 12th century and celebrated 850 years in 2021. Originally cultivated by Cistercian monks, the estate has been managed by Eva and Michael Moosbrugger since 1996, earning numerous international awards.
Today, it focuses on regional wines classified as Gebietswein, Ortswein, and Riedenwein, with vineyards in renowned sites like Heiligenstein and Lamm. Sustainable practices, careful hand-harvesting, and minimal intervention in the cellar reflect centuries-old traditions rooted in simplicity and patience.
Alongside its classic Kamptal wines, Gobelsburg produces sparkling wines, cool-climate reds, and small quantities of noble-sweet wines. Known for blending tradition with quality, the estate is also a member of Österreichische Traditionsweingüter, a group dedicated to Austria’s vineyard classification system.
