ABOUT THE WINE
The 2024 Bourgogne Blanc is crafted from Chardonnay sourced from a selection of carefully farmed vineyards across Burgundy, allowing Benjamin Leroux to capture both freshness and regional character. The wine opens with aromas of lemon zest, orchard fruits, white flowers, and hints of hazelnut and wet stone. On the palate, lively citrus and crisp pear are complemented by gentle lees-derived richness, creating a wine that is both energetic and refined.
Benjamin Leroux emphasizes precision in both the vineyard and cellar. Grapes are harvested by hand, gently pressed, and fermented with native yeasts. Aging typically takes place in French oak barrels, with only a modest proportion of new oak, preserving purity of fruit while adding subtle texture and complexity. Minimal intervention throughout élevage allows the vineyard character to shine.
Although intended for enjoyment in its youth, the wine possesses the balance and structure to develop additional nuance over the next 3–5 years.
Food Pairing: Excellent with oysters, grilled seafood, roast chicken, creamy poultry dishes, fresh goat cheese, or mushroom risotto.
ABOUT THE PRODUCER
