ABOUT THE WINE

The 2024 Côte de Nuits-Villages is sourced from carefully selected vineyards in the northern Côte de Nuits, where limestone-rich soils and cool exposures produce Pinot Noir of exceptional freshness and aromatic purity. Benjamin Leroux combines fruit from multiple sites to create a wine that captures both the structure and finesse characteristic of this historic region.

The nose is expressive, revealing vibrant aromas of red cherry, raspberry, blackcurrant, crushed violets, and rose petals, layered with hints of forest floor, baking spice, graphite, and subtle earthy notes. The palate is medium-bodied and beautifully poised, offering bright red and dark berry fruit supported by fine-grained tannins and lively acidity. Delicate oak influence adds texture and complexity while preserving the wine's transparency and sense of place. The finish is long, elegant, and marked by a distinctive mineral freshness.

The grapes are harvested by hand, carefully sorted, and fermented with indigenous yeasts. Gentle extraction techniques preserve the purity and perfume of the Pinot Noir, while maturation in French oak barrels, with only a modest proportion of new oak, enhances structure without dominating the fruit. Minimal intervention throughout élevage allows the vineyard character to remain the focal point.

Approachable in its youth, this wine will continue to develop added complexity and nuance over the next 6–10 years.

Food Pairing: An excellent partner for roast duck, grilled lamb, roasted chicken, pork loin, mushroom risotto, charcuterie, or semi-aged cheeses such as Comté or Tomme de Savoie.
