ABOUT THIS WINE
All vineyards that this wine was sourced from are cultivated in the Salento wine producing area. The initial stage of fermentation takes place in inox steele tanks at thermo-controlled temperature, and afterwards the must is put in barriques where it finishes the fermentation process. This is a wine with a consistent structure and a pleasantly intense and fresh nose based on white pulp fruits with a nice memory of thyme and mint. Deliciously crispy, fresh, sapid ad full.
ABOUT THIS PRODUCER
The De Falco family's successful winemaking history began in Salento in 1944.
Father Gabriele left his native Naples and arrived in Novoli. His wife and children soon after accompanied him to Puglia, a region then known as the "Cellar of Italy," a land that offered excellent business prospects. Over the long term, his sons Angelo, Pasquale, and then Salvatore, in particular, dedicated themselves to winemaking, distributing their production throughout Italy. This process was interrupted in the late 1990s.
Salvatore's son, young Gabriele, joined the company, and the transformation took place. Great passion and meticulous dedication went into bottling Negroamaro, Primitivo, Susumaniello, and Verdeca, typical local varietals. Now Cantine De Falco, an 80-year history, with 20 hectares of vineyards, all in the finest geographical location in Salento, prides itself on a comprehensive winemaking process based on extensive experience and quality.
