ABOUT THIS WINE

The 2024 Cirelli Pecorino Colline Pescaresi is crafted with a focus on minimal intervention and biodynamic principles. The farming is 100% organic, with grapes coming from certified vineyards on the estate in Cugnoli. Grapes are hand-harvested early to preserve acidity and fresh fruit characteristics. Harvesting is followed by a short skin maceration, which allows for light phenolic extraction. Spontaneous native yeast fermentation is used and aging is completed exclusively in stainless steel tanks to maintain purity and bring out the minerality from the terroir.

ABOUT THIS PRODUCER

The Cirelli estate, founded in 2003, spans roughly 23 ha that include vineyards, olive groves, grains, figs and grazing animals—maintaining a biodiverse, regenerative ecosystem. Francesco, with winemaking roots in both Italy and France, chose to return home and embrace minimal‑intervention practices; he uses stainless steel, concrete tanks and 800‑L terracotta amphorae to let the fruit express itself authentically. His winemaking philosophy is aptly summed up: “the less you do, the better it is”—a nod to letting nature and terroir speak through the wine . The estate also hosts guests in a glamping setup, letting visitors immerse themselves in the rugged beauty of Abruzzo’s hills and the Adriatic vista.
