ABOUT THIS WINE

Produced from 100% Chardonnay grown in the clay-limestone soils of Chassagne-Montrachet, this village wine comes from several parcels on the lower slopes with multiple exposures. The vines are organically certified and are cultivated with careful attention to soil health, while the grapes are harvested by hand. In the cellar, the wine is aged for approximately 11 to 13 months in 228- and 350-liter oak barrels, with around 30–40% new oak. The 2024 vintage reflects the domaine's focus on purity and terroir, with ripe fruit balanced by freshness, mineral tension, and an elegant texture.

ABOUT THIS PRODUCER

Domaine Morey-Coffinet has been rooted in Chassagne-Montrachet since 1980, when Michel Morey and Fabienne Coffinet united the vineyards inherited from their respective families. Today, Thibault Morey is an important force at the domaine, continuing the family's focus on expressing the character of Chassagne-Montrachet's exceptional terroirs. The estate encompasses approximately nine hectares, including highly regarded sites such as La Romanée, Dent de Chien, Blanchot-Dessus, and the Grand Cru Bâtard-Montrachet. The domaine has been organically certified since 2018 and has incorporated biodynamic principles since 2015, while increasingly using horse plowing and other low-impact vineyard practices. In the cellar, Thibault favors minimal intervention, careful pressing, larger-format oak, and, increasingly, amphorae to preserve freshness, salinity, and the natural expression of the vineyards.
