ABOUT THE WINE
Les Genèvrières is Frédéric Esmonin’s Bourgogne Rouge, made from Pinot Noir. This regional Burgundy bottling introduces the Pinot Noir style of a family domaine based in Gevrey-Chambertin.
Raspberry, cherry and violet bring aromatic lift to the 2024, with gentle herbs and a discreet forest-floor note. Dry, juicy fruit meets fresh acidity and fine, soft tannins. That approachable structure suits roast chicken, mushroom dishes or charcuterie.
ABOUT THE PRODUCER
Domaine Frédéric Esmonin is a family operation based in Gevrey-Chambertin. Frédéric, his father André and his mother Michèle developed their own labels in 1988 after earlier supplying established Burgundy négociants.
Ripe grapes, gentle pressing and a short cold maceration are central to the family’s approach, followed by selected French oak barrels. The domaine’s range spans regional Burgundy, village wines and notable cru holdings, reflecting a long family relationship with the vineyards of the Côte de Nuits.
