ABOUT THIS WINE

Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine reflects the combination of Mendoza's intense sunlight and cool Andean nights. The region's high-elevation vineyards and arid climate encourage concentrated fruit while the significant diurnal temperature variation helps preserve acidity and aromatic definition. Alluvial soils contribute additional structure and mineral character.

The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and carefully selected before fermentation. Controlled-temperature fermentation and maceration are used to capture the variety's dark-fruit concentration and fine tannins, followed by maturation in oak to add subtle notes of cedar, vanilla, and spice while maintaining the wine's fruit-driven character.

The 2024 vintage offers an appealing balance of ripe fruit, freshness, and supple structure. It is approachable in its youth but has enough concentration to develop additional savory complexity with short- to medium-term aging. Pair it with grilled steak, lamb, empanadas, roasted vegetables, burgers, or hearty pasta with tomato-based sauces.

Manos Negras is an Argentine wine project founded by winemakers Jeff Mausbach and Alejandro Kuschnaroff, created with the goal of exploring Argentina's diverse terroirs through expressive, accessible wines. The name, meaning “Black Hands,” pays homage to the stained hands of vineyard workers during harvest.

The project works with vineyards in several of Argentina's important wine regions, with a particular emphasis on Mendoza and high-altitude sites. Its philosophy is to combine careful vineyard selection with hands-on, relatively straightforward winemaking, allowing the character of each grape and growing region to come through.
