Malo is blocked for this fresh white! Aromas of floral and orchard fruit notes lead to a nervy, mineral Chardonnay.

ABOUT THIS WINE
100% Chardonnay sourced from the hills of Costa di Vergne , just a stone's throw from Barolo. The grapes come from the lowest part of the vineyard, where the just-ripened bunches are selected by hand. Harvesting takes place in 20-kg crates to preserve the integrity of the berries. After soft pressing with a pneumatic press, fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks: initially between 10 and 12 °C for 12-14 days, with completion at 15 °C. Malolactic fermentation is stopped by the exclusive use of cold, thanks to thermo-conditioned steel tanks, so as to preserve freshness and acidity. Aging takes place exclusively in steel tanks for about 5/6 months.
ABOUT THIS PRODUCER
Viberti's story is one of love for the land, for wine and for people. It began in 1923, among the hills of Vergne, when Cavalier Antonio Viberti bought the Locanda del Buon Padre, a haven of hospitality and authentic flavors. It was in the basement of that inn that the dream came to life: Antonio began making wine for his guests, choosing Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo, sincere, everyday grapes that speak the language of the Langa. His wines, served between a plate and a handshake, immediately tell a story of authenticity and connection to the land.
Today it is Claudio, Giovanni and Maria's youngest son, who carries on the family dream. He does so with an eye to excellence, to details, to respect for the land. With more than 26 hectares of vineyards, a young and determined team, Claudio guides Viberti Barolo by combining tradition and vision.
In 2006, La Gemella was born, an intense and unique Barbera d'Alba, dedicated precisely to Maria: a tribute to the heart of the family.
Barolo Buon Padre, on the other hand, continues to be the soul of the production: a wine that evolves but remains faithful to its roots, the result today of a blend of ten MGAs, in full respect of biodiversity.
Over time, Viberti has given voice to great terroirs such as Monvigliero and San Lorenzo di Verduno, vinified with care and in collaboration with families who are custodians of the vineyards, thus renewing the historic "négociant" tradition.
