2019 Casa Rojo "La Marimorena" Albariño, Rías Baixas, Spain
Beautiful mix of fresh fruit aromas: orange peel, tangerine, and peach notes mingled with a hint of white flowers. Fresh and vibrant on the palate. A refreshing summer wine!
ABOUT THIS WINE:
After a careful selection of the grapes, they enter the cellar in the early hours of the morning for a cold pre-fermentation maceration with their skins, for 10 hours. After the alcoholic fermentation at an average temperature of 13 degrees and racking process, this wine has been aged on its fine lees for approximately 4 months and then moved to Casa Rojo to be aged in new French barrels for an additional 5 months.
ABOUT THIS PRODUCER:
Named one of the "100 Best Wineries in the World" by Wine&Spirits magazine in 2014, Casa Rojo's main pursuit is this expanding collection of The Wine Gurus wines, which serves as an ambassador for some of Spain's most diverse and important wine regions. In each of these carefully-chosen regions, the emphasis is on native grape varieties, limited productions and capturing the essence of the particular terroir. Not for nothing, the wines have received international acclaim, with the majority of production currently exported to over forty different countries.
