ABOUT THIS WINE

“En Remilly” is among Saint-Aubin’s finest Premier Cru sites, bordering the Grand Cru of Chevalier-Montrachet. Perched on steep, south-facing slopes with thin topsoil and a limestone-dominant substructure, the vineyard benefits from superb drainage and optimal sun exposure. This terroir naturally yields wines of laser-like focus, high tension, and expressive minerality.

In 2023, the wine was vinified with native yeasts and aged in French oak barrels, roughly a quarter of which were new, ensuring elegant structure without overshadowing the terroir. The result is a wine of precision and vibrancy: notes of grapefruit pith, green apple, sea spray, and flint unfold over a sleek, linear body. The texture is tightly wound yet refined, with a bracing acidity that drives a long, saline finish.

ABOUT THIS PRODUCER

Joseph Colin is one of the most compelling voices in contemporary Burgundy. Coming from a distinguished winemaking lineage—son of Marc Colin and brother to Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey—Joseph founded his own domaine in 2016, bringing a fresh yet deeply rooted perspective to Côte de Beaune winemaking.

Farming is done with sustainability and minimal intervention in mind, emphasizing soil vitality and expression of place. In the cellar, Joseph’s approach is hands-off: wild fermentations, gentle pressing, and restrained use of oak allow each cuvée to speak clearly of its origin. His wines are prized for their energy, clarity, and sense of precision—qualities that place him among the rising stars of white Burgundy.
