Join us for an exceptionally rare evening with Laurent Drouhin and one of Burgundy’s most revered wine families. This exclusive Deep Dive will take us inside the world of Maison Joseph Drouhin, from its historic roots in Beaune to the family’s celebrated Oregon winery, Domaine Drouhin, exploring a legacy of craftsmanship, terroir, and uncompromising quality that spans generations and two continents.
Laurent will lead us through an extraordinary lineup of 13 wines, including rare library bottles recently released from the Drouhin family cellar: wines that have been patiently aging under ideal conditions and are only now being made available. The evening will culminate in a vertical of Clos des Mouches, one of Maison Joseph Drouhin’s most treasured vineyards, offering a remarkable opportunity to witness the evolution and longevity of this iconic Beaune Premier Cru across multiple vintages.
With wines rarely encountered outside the Drouhin cellar, an intimate look at the family’s Burgundy and Oregon estates, and Laurent Drouhin personally guiding the tasting, this is a once-in-a-generation opportunity for Burgundy lovers to experience the depth, history, and extraordinary cellar potential of the Drouhin legacy.
This seated tasting will start promptly at 6:00 pm at our Sandy Springs location and last about 2 hours.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER
The wine company was founded in 1880 by Joseph Drouhin at the age of 22. Originally from Chablis, he moved south to Beaune to found the company. He handed the operation to his son Maurice who started buying vineyards, including the family’s monopole Beaune Premier Cru Clos des Mouches and a plot in Granc Cru Clos de Vougeot.
In 1957, Robert took over from his father Maurice and expanded the operation, significantly building up its reputation. He was on the INAO committee (which helped classifiy the vineyards of Burgundy) and involved in the Hospices de Beaune, as well as having distribution rights for Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (indeed, he was offered the chance to become a shareholder during the same period as Leroy). He also bought swathes of vineyard, especially in Chablis, an area where he saw great potential.
Today the company is run by his son Frédéric, with Robert’s three other children all involved: Véronique as winemaker, Philippe in the vineyards and Laurent handling exports.
Domaine Drouhin was established in 1987, when the Drouhin family set their sights on Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Founded by Robert Drouhin, the domaine was among the first Burgundian families to establish a winery in Oregon, drawn to the region’s cool climate and its natural affinity for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Today, Domaine Drouhin Oregon reflects the family’s Burgundian heritage while expressing the distinctive character of the Willamette Valley.
