Deep Dive Series: Sake Tasting - September 2nd - Sandy Springs

Join us for an in-depth exploration of the world of sake with Chris Johnson, Director of U.S. Sales for World Sake Imports. One of the country’s foremost sake experts, Chris is also one of only 125 people worldwide to have been named a Sake Samurai by the Young Brewers Association of Japan.

We’ll take a deep dive into how sake is made, exploring the role of rice varieties, polishing, fermentation, yeast strains, brewing techniques, and the many styles of sake these choices create. Along the way, we’ll taste eight distinctive sakes that showcase the incredible range, complexity, and versatility of this category.

We will taste the sake alongside a selection of cheese and charcuterie, highlighting sake’s remarkable ability to complement the salty, sweet, bitter, and acidic flavors we traditionally associate with wine pairings.

This seated tasting will start promptly at 6:00 pm at our Sandy Springs location and last about 2 hours.
