ABOUT THIS WINE

Francis Orban’s NV Extra Brut Rosé is a masterful expression of Pinot Meunier—Champagne’s often underappreciated grape—sourced from estate vineyards in the Vallée de la Marne, particularly around Leuvrigny, a village known for its Meunier excellence. The blend is composed mostly of Meunier (90%) with a touch of Chardonnay (10%), and includes around 15% still red Meunier to achieve its radiant pink hue.

Vinified in stainless steel to preserve vibrancy, the wine undergoes full malolactic fermentation and is aged sur lattes for 2 to 3 years before disgorgement. The Extra Brut dosage (3 g/L) keeps the wine lean and expressive, allowing the fruit and terroir to take center stage.

Aromatically, it bursts with fresh red berries, crushed herbs, and orange zest. The palate is energetic and precise, with notes of pomegranate, white cherry, and chalky minerality. Its dry finish and sleek structure make it a standout partner to tuna tartare, duck breast with berry jus, or even spiced dishes like Moroccan tagine.
