ABOUT THIS WINE
Kopke’s 30 Years Tawny is a blend of meticulously selected wines aged in seasoned oak casks for an average of three decades, showcasing the cumulative character and elegance that only long maturation can deliver. The wine is crafted from traditional Douro grape varieties including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, and Tinta Barroca, harvested from steep schist-laden vineyards along the Douro River. Aging takes place in the company’s historic Vila Nova de Gaia lodges, where the temperate Atlantic-influenced climate enhances oxidative development. The result is a tawny of profound complexity, with notes of dried fruits, cedar, mocha, and sweet spice unfolding in every sip. Serve slightly chilled alongside crème brûlée, aged cheeses, or pecan tart.
