NV La Querce Seconda Toscana "Barabba", Tuscany, Italy
Wild, soulful, and unapologetically expressive, the NV “Barabba” from La Querce Seconda is a deeply personal Tuscan red that blends rustic intensity with natural vibrancy. Aromas of black cherry, dried fig, leather, Mediterranean herbs, and earthy spice rise from the glass, leading into a textured, medium- to full-bodied palate with lively acidity, firm tannins, and a savory, lingering finish. It’s a wine of raw energy and authenticity.

ABOUT THE WINE
“Barabba” is a non-vintage Toscana blend built primarily around Sangiovese, often complemented by small amounts of local varieties depending on the year. Sourced from organically farmed vineyards in the hills of Tuscany, the grapes are hand-harvested and fermented with native yeasts.
Vinification is low-intervention, with aging in neutral oak and extended time before release to allow the wine to harmonize. The non-vintage format allows the producer to blend across harvests, seeking balance and expression rather than strict vintage character. Expect notes of dark cherry, balsamic herbs, tobacco, and sun-warmed earth, with a structured yet vibrant frame.
ABOUT THE PRODUCER
La Querce Seconda is a small, artisan Tuscan estate dedicated to organic farming and minimal-intervention winemaking. Focused on expressing terroir and tradition without cosmetic adjustments, the winery produces wines that are honest, textured, and full of life. “Barabba” reflects this philosophy—bold, unconventional, and deeply rooted in the landscape of Tuscany.
