ABOUT THIS VERMOUTH
La Quintinye Vermouth Royal Extra-Dry is crafted in the Charentes region of France, blending white wines from the Southwest with a portion of Pineau des Charentes, the region’s fortified specialty. This unique base is infused with a carefully selected mix of 27 botanicals, including wormwood, angelica, vine flower, citrus peel, and savory herbs, creating depth and aromatic complexity.
The wine is aromatized and gently fortified to achieve balance between dryness and botanical character. The influence of Pineau lends subtle texture and lift without adding sweetness, resulting in a vermouth that is both crisp and nuanced.
Fresh and precise on the nose, it offers aromas of lemon verbena, chamomile, white pepper, and bitter herbs. The palate is clean and linear with flavors of green citrus, quinine, and soft florals, underpinned by a savory minerality and a lingering, gently bitter finish.
This vermouth is ideal as a base for classic martinis, or enjoyed chilled on its own with a twist of lemon or alongside oysters and other briny appetizers.
