NV Meyer Family "California Port", California, USA - 500ml
Old-vine Zinfandel gives this California Port baked-fruit and spice aromas, with cassis and brandied cherry on a rich, rounded palate. Retained acidity balances the sweetness, and neutral-oak maturation adds depth to the concentrated finish. Offered in a 500ml bottle.

ABOUT THE WINE
Meyer Family Port is a fortified California wine made from old-vine Zinfandel and pot-still brandy. The winery’s modified solera combines wines from multiple harvests: each year, a portion is moved from barrel to tank, the newest vintage is added, and the blend returns to the barrels for further maturation.
This ongoing blending system has been maintained since 1987 and gives the non-vintage wine continuity while building complexity. Baked fruit, cooking spice, cassis and brandied cherry define the house’s tasting profile, with richness balanced by acidity. Serve a small glass with blue cheese, dark chocolate desserts or fresh fruit.
ABOUT THE PRODUCER
Meyer Family Cellars carries forward the winemaking legacy of Justin and Bonny Meyer, who founded Silver Oak with Ray Duncan in 1972. Justin’s work in Napa Valley forms an important part of the family’s history, while the Port has remained a distinctive expression within the Meyer range.
Matt and Karen Meyer continue the family’s wine work in California. The winery is based in Yorkville and works across Mendocino and Napa Valley, including Yorkville Highlands and Oakville. Its range reflects both the family’s longstanding vineyard connections and an interest in wines suited to food and patient maturation.
