2016 Riccitelli "Finca La Trinidad" Valle de Uco, Mendoza, Argentina

Complex and expressive on nose displaying plenty of mineral notes, complemented by red and black fruit aromas. On the palate, it is juicy, broad and fresh with soft tannins and a complex persistent finish.

This wine expresses the personality of the terroir where it comes from, unique soil and climate conditions make this Malbec unique in Mendoza. Located in the extreme area of El Cepillo in the Uco Valley on limestones soils.

We vinify it with wild yeasts and without the addition of any foreign element at temperatures between 26ºC and 28ºC for several weeks. Fermentation takes place in small concrete vats with a percentage of whole and de-stemmed bunches. The aging is carried out in French barrels of different uses for more than a year.

The Winery is settled in the heart of Vistalba, in the region of Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza. Today Riccitelli Wines manages 20 hectares, divided in three different vineyards at the foot of the Andes Mountains between 980 and 1120m in altitude. Most of those vineyards were planted at beginning of 20th century.

This is a young and dynamic project, in which Matias Riccitelli wants to express the full potential of Argentine Terroirs while making top wines with constant care and personal style – essential elements for great quality – Riccitelli Wines combine a high level of technology, the richness of the native soil of their vineyards, and new winemaking in Argentina.
