It takes a mild, creamy Dutch cheese and incorporates black olives, tomato, basil, and garlic, giving it a distinctly savory Mediterranean character. 

The cheese is made from pasteurized cow’s milk with salt, starter cultures, and rennet, then flavored with black olives, tomato, basil, and garlic. Its base is a relatively young Gouda style, so the emphasis is on a smooth, supple, creamy texture rather than the firm, crystalline character of long-aged Gouda.
