Vintage Champagne Bucket #20 - Abel Lepitre
This beautiful vintage French champagne bucket is a functional item, as well as a piece of history and craftsmanship. This silver-plated champagne bucket was originally made for Champagne Abel Lepitre by Argit Paris in the art déco style, circa 1930’s/1940's. This registered model ( modèle déposé) features an engraved deep green and white enamel plaque displaying the Abel Lepitre logo on one side. The piece is made of silver plated metal, believed to be of either brass or copper.
This one of a kind piece is vintage; therefore, aging is to be expected due to overall use, and the passage of time. This piece is a flawed gem, with blue tarnishing, some discoloration, rayures, and a few dents and warping on the rim. The interior of the bucket also is quite tarnished with some rusting. However, this is still quite a rare piece, and has the possibility of restoration, if desired.
