2012 Mas De Boislauzon Châteauneuf-du-Pape "Cuvée du Quet", Rhône Valley, France

This wine is a powerful wine, balanced, silky tannins and a beautiful length in the mouth. Enjoy with grilled meats, a spicy dish, cheese... serve at 65 degrees F.



Vines are grown in clay soils, covered with rounded pebbles. The harvest is hand-picked, meticulously sorted and 100% destemmed. It’s a traditional vinification with temperature control. No yeast added. This wine is aged in a barrels and tanks.

"Le Quet" is a special cuvee that is made from very old Grenache vines, as well as their oldest 70 year old Mourvedre.

The estate is certified organic and performs all cultivation in harmony with the vine, land and climate. At the same time, the estate practices biodynamic farming techniques.

Mas de Boislauzon Chateauneuf du Pape Tradition is usually a blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Mourvedre, although there are vintages when Syrah is included as well.


Run by sister and brother Christine Laget and Daniel Chaussy, Mas de Boislauzon is an estate comprised of some 30 hectares of vineyard, of which 10 hectares are located in the Chateauneuf-du-Pape appellation. The remaining 20 hectares are classified as Cotes du Rhone Villages, and a portion of these holdings abut their property in Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Two oak trees, as are often depicted on their labels, mark the appellation boundary on their property. The estate has been certified organic since 2012, and in practice they are largely biodynamic.
