You have to admire this guy's commitment to his region. He is one of the true champions of the Yarra Valley (and also, a champion bloke).

This is from his lowest and warmest vineyard in the Yarra. A wine only made in tiny quantities, especially in a lower-yielding year like 2017.

Mac used 30% whole bunch in the ferment for this wine with the fruit spending 3-4 weeks on skins. The 2017 is showing beautifully now, it's lithe and cool, an articulate Pinot Noir of elegance and quiet power.
