2020 Alessandra Divella Blanc des Blancs, Franciacorta, Lombardy, Italy 1.5L MAG
A strikingly pure and electric expression of Chardonnay from one of Italy’s most exciting young winemakers. This magnum format of Divella’s Blanc de Blancs exudes finesse with racy acidity, tight minerality, and a refined mousse. Aromas of lemon zest, green apple skin, crushed oyster shell, and delicate white flowers lead into a palate that’s linear and vibrant, offering chalky texture, saline lift, and an elegantly dry, lingering finish.

ABOUT THIS WINE
This zero-dosage, méthode champenoise sparkling wine is crafted from 100% Chardonnay grown on limestone-rich soils in Gussago, the easternmost part of Franciacorta. The 2020 vintage was marked by a steady growing season, allowing for optimal ripeness and the expression of pristine fruit.
Fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged sur lie for 24–36 months in bottle before disgorgement, the wine offers a tightly woven profile of orchard fruit, citrus, crushed stone, and almond blossom. The absence of dosage highlights the wine’s natural tension and mineral core, delivering exceptional clarity and drive.
Farming is organic and uncompromisingly natural, with no herbicides or pesticides. In the cellar, no fining, filtration, or additions (beyond minimal sulfur) are used, allowing the character of the terroir to speak clearly.
Food Pairings: Perfect alongside raw shellfish, crudo, delicate tempura, or aged goat cheeses. Its crisp edge and mineral depth also shine with creamy risottos or dishes laced with lemon and herbs.
ABOUT THE PRODUCER
Alessandra Divella is a rising star in the world of grower-method sparkling wine, producing tiny quantities of intensely expressive Franciacorta from just two hectares of organically farmed vineyards. Since launching her winery at only 22 years old, Alessandra has committed to low-intervention winemaking and a singular focus on site transparency.
Operating from a family-owned property in Gussago, she works entirely by hand, making no compromises in the vineyard or cellar. Her wines defy the conventions of heavily manipulated Franciacorta, instead aligning more with the grower Champagne ethos: pure fruit, long aging, and no additives.
Every bottle reflects her radical approach and passionate philosophy: wines that are alive, energetic, and intellectually engaging, offering a soulful glimpse into Lombardy’s cooler, limestone-driven terroir.
