2020 Domaine Olivier Merlin Bourgogne Blanc, Burgundy, France

On the nose, the wine is very aromatic, with notes of exotic fruits. The mouth is very fruity and supple, with aromas of white peach. A refreshing cuvée, to be drunk within 2 to 3 years.

Assembly of different plots of land on La Roche-Vineuse and Chaintré. The soils are all Quaternary clay-limestone. Direct pressing of the whole harvest. Slight settling. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Racking, then light filtration before bottling. Maturing period in stainless steel tanks of about 16 months. No gluing.

Located in the village of La Roche-Vineuse in South Burgundy, we are winegrowers, passionate about our profession and the terroirs of the Mâconnais and the Beaujolais that we’re cultivating. Olivier Merlin’s first contact with the vines was in 1977. That year, he harvests in a Mâconnais estate and discovers an atmosphere, a family spirit. His passion for the winegrower’s profession began then.
