2021 Troupis Winery "Fteri" Agiorgitiko, Nemea, Greece

Dark red – purple color and fragrances of gooseberry and pomegranate. A supple and spicy flavor with velvety tannins, yet leaving pleasant hints of spices and butter caramel.

There are 4 units left in stock.

“Fteri Agiorgitiko” is the result of both the selected grape Agiorgitiko, grown in the hills which surround the plain of Nemea and a few days of maceration at relatively low temperatures.

Although red, it is best enjoyed lightly chilled and provides a perfect accompaniment to flavors such as braised meat in tomato, grilled meats and coq au vin served at 14-16˚C.

Troupis Winery, established in 2003, is currently managed by winemaker Yiannis Troupis, who continues the family's winemaking tradition. The winery follows organic and sustainable farming practices, prioritizing the use of natural fertilizers and minimizing chemical interventions. Situated in the picturesque region of Mantinia in central Peloponnese, Greece, Troupis Winery's vineyards are located at altitudes of 650-800 meters, benefiting from the cool mountainous climate and limestone-rich soils. They specialize in producing wines from indigenous Greek grape varieties such as Moschofilero and Agiorgitiko, creating wines that showcase the unique terroir and express the rich flavors of the region.
