ABOUT THE WINE
This Brut Nature Rosé is crafted from organically farmed Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Syrah grown on the ancient Triassic limestone and clay soils of Vinsobres, a high-elevation cru in the southern Rhône. Fermented with native yeasts and made using the traditional method, the wine undergoes secondary fermentation in bottle and is aged sur lie to build complexity. No dosage is added at disgorgement, allowing the raw character of the vineyard to shine through.
Structured and gastronomic, this is a rosé that calls for food—think Provençal seafood stew, charcuterie, roast poultry, or grilled peaches with goat cheese. Serve well chilled and let it open slowly in the glass.
ABOUT THE PRODUCER
Château de Rouanne is an ancient estate with deep roots in Vinsobres, recently revitalized under the stewardship of Louis Barruol of Château de Saint Cosme. With a commitment to organic and biodynamic farming, minimal intervention, and deep respect for old vines and historic terroirs, the estate is producing wines that reflect the rugged, high-altitude character of its vineyards. Known primarily for bold, structured reds, Rouanne’s sparkling Brut Nature Rosé is a rare and expressive take—melding Rhône varietals with Champagne-like purity and craft. It’s a testament to the versatility of the terroir and the innovative spirit behind the estate’s current renaissance.
