ABOUT THIS PRODUCER

Irpinia is the historical name of the province of Avellino, a department of Campania, one of the largest and most populous regions in southern Italy. Irpinia is the name of an area with a deep-rooted agricultural tradition, where some of the most original and long-lived wines in Europe are born: the red Taurasi, the whites Fiano di Avellino and Greco di Tufo. Irpinia is the name of a unique territory from many points of view: Mediterranean latitudes, mountain viticulture, cool and rainy climate, wines very far from "Southern" stereotypes in terms of style and character.

Our story begins in 1986, in Irpinia, in Central Campania, mountainous, rainy, often snow-capped in winter. A South different from classic stereotypes with a great viticultural tradition and soils rich in minerals. Here Feudi di San Gregorio has built its history based on the valorization of native vines extraordinary and still little known - the Greco, the Fiano, the Falanghina, the Aglianico - and of monumental vines over two hundred years old. He did it with a highly contemporary, curious spirit, open to contamination with the worlds of creativity, such as design and art. The FeudiStudi wines are the result of the desire to tell - with uncompromising vinification and aging choices by Pierpaolo Sirch  - the richness of our most expressive vineyards, selected every year from the over 800 vineyards available, based on the characteristics of the vintage.
