2022 La Grange Tiphaine Pet Nat "Nouveau Nez", Loire Valley, France

Effervescent and vividly expressive, the 2022 “Nouveau Nez” is a pétillant naturel that captures the joyful spontaneity of the Loire in a single bottle. Bursting with notes of wild strawberries, pink grapefruit, and orange blossom, it dances across the palate with fine bubbles, zippy acidity, and a bone-dry, chalk-tinged finish. Fresh, lively, and full of character, this is pét-nat with precision and soul.

ABOUT THE WINE
Crafted from 100% Chenin Blanc grown on limestone and clay soils in Montlouis-sur-Loire, Nouveau Nez is made using the ancestral méthode, bottling the juice mid-fermentation to capture natural effervescence without additives. The wine is unfined, unfiltered, and sees no dosage, offering a pure, unmasked expression of the grape and terroir. It opens with aromas of orchard fruit, crushed limestone, and a faint floral lift. On the palate, it’s textured yet electric, with crisp stone fruit, citrus blossom, and saline minerality. Harvested early to preserve vibrancy, the fruit is farmed biodynamically, and vinified with minimal intervention. Ideal as an apéritif or alongside oysters, goat cheese, or lightly spiced Southeast Asian dishes.
