ABOUT THIS WINE
The 2023 Cirelli Pecorino Colline Pescaresi IGT is a bright, straw‑yellow white crafted from 100 % Pecorino grapes grown on Francesco and Michela Cirelli’s organic estate near Atri in Abruzzo. Produced using minimal intervention techniques—including a brief 24‑hour skin maceration, gentle pressing, and fermentation in stainless steel using indigenous yeasts—it embodies a pure, terroir‑driven profile.
ABOUT THIS PRODUCER
The Cirelli estate, founded in 2003, spans roughly 23 ha that include vineyards, olive groves, grains, figs and grazing animals—maintaining a biodiverse, regenerative ecosystem. Francesco, with winemaking roots in both Italy and France, chose to return home and embrace minimal‑intervention practices; he uses stainless steel, concrete tanks and 800‑L terracotta amphorae to let the fruit express itself authentically. His winemaking philosophy is aptly summed up: “the less you do, the better it is”—a nod to letting nature and terroir speak through the wine . The estate also hosts guests in a glamping setup, letting visitors immerse themselves in the rugged beauty of Abruzzo’s hills and the Adriatic vista.
