ABOUT THIS WINE

This sauvignon blanc is certified sustainable, grown from 25 year old vines planted in clay-limestone soils. The amount of rocks allow for ample drainage. The wine is fermented using indigenous yeast and aged in stainless steel barrels. This wine carried aromas and flavors of lemon, lime zest and oyster shell, with a subtle ginger note. An elegant combination of silky texture and tensile minerality.

ABOUT THIS PRODUCER

The Dubard family craft fine terroir-driven wines from the rolling hills of clay and limestone found in the Southwest of France. They have always been known for their meticulous farming, with a commitment to vine health that was recently recognized by the French government’s HEV (high environmental value) certification. This new certification covers biodiversity conservation, plant protection strategy, management of fertilizer use, and management of water. Winemaking is fastidiously traditional, with long gentle presses, indigenous yeasts for the fermentations, and stainless steel used for the elevage. From the citrus and mineral-infused Sauvignon Blanc to the delicate and lacy rosé, the wines are consistently delicious and over-deliver for their humble price tags.
