2024 Division "Ouest" Rosé, Columbia Valley, Washington, USA

Lively, luminous, and Mediterranean-inspired, the 2024 “Ouest” Rosé from Division Winemaking Company delivers a beautifully dry, energetic profile with a northwest twist. Aromas of Rainier cherry, pink grapefruit, and crushed rose petal glide into a vibrant palate layered with wild strawberry, white peach, and a subtle savory edge. Zesty acidity and a whisper of salinity carry it to a crisp, mineral finish—effortless, expressive, and refreshingly modern.

ABOUT THE WINE

The 2024 “Ouest” Rosé is a co-fermented blend of Gamay, Sangiovese, and Grenache, sourced from organically and sustainably farmed vineyards in Washington’s Columbia Valley, with some fruit from Oregon. Crafted using direct pressing and indigenous yeasts, the wine is fermented at low temperatures in stainless steel to preserve aromatic brightness and purity. The result is a bone-dry rosé with notes of red citrus, melon skin, and faint herbs, all tied together by snappy acidity and a textural core from lees aging. Its fruit-forward charm and savory undertone make it a perfect companion to grilled shrimp, Niçoise salad, or Middle Eastern mezze.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER

Division Winemaking Company, founded by Kate Norris and Thomas Monroe in Portland, Oregon, is known for its commitment to minimal-intervention winemaking and organic sourcing from sustainably minded growers across the Pacific Northwest. Inspired by French regional traditions—particularly from the Loire, Beaujolais, and Southern Rhône—their wines balance approachability with structure. The “Ouest” series explores the Western U.S. through a European lens, and this rosé, in particular, captures the spirit of coastal, sun-soaked Provence while remaining deeply rooted in the terroir of the Columbia Valley. Thoughtfully made, refreshingly modern, and environmentally conscious.
