2024 Loimer Brut Rosé "Reserve" Niederösterreich, Austria
Discreet but long-lasting foam presentation. Opens beautifully with air, exuding yeasty notes along with aromas of plum cake and puff pastry with cherries. Plays its strength on the palate with discreet fruitiness, fine mousse, notes of white nougat and hazelnut cake, a mouthfilling texture and wonderfully soft acidity.

ABOUT THIS WINE
Loimer Brut Rosé is crafted by Fred Loimer in Langenlois, on the edge of Austria’s Kamptal region, an area known for its cool climate and mineral-rich soils that are well suited to sparkling wine. The wine is made primarily from Zweigelt, with a small portion of Pinot Noir, sourced from organically and biodynamically farmed vineyards. Grapes are harvested early to retain freshness, then gently pressed and fermented with native yeasts. Secondary fermentation takes place in bottle, followed by extended aging on the lees (at least 20 months). Throughout the process, intervention is kept to a minimum, allowing the character of the grapes and terroir to speak clearly.
