2024 Paşaeli Denizli Çalkarasi Rosé, Aegean, Turkey
Delicate yet characterful, the 2024 Paşaeli Çalkarası Rosé is a vibrant expression of one of Turkey’s rare native grapes. Pale salmon in hue with fragrant notes of wild strawberry, watermelon rind, and rose petal, this wine is as graceful as it is fresh. The palate is crisp and light-bodied, balancing juicy red fruit with tangy acidity and a mineral edge that lingers through a dry, refreshing finish.

ABOUT THIS WINE
This rosé is crafted from 100% Çalkarası, a native variety grown in the high-altitude vineyards of Denizli in Turkey’s Aegean region. Sourced from vines rooted in calcareous soils at elevations exceeding 850 meters, the grapes benefit from warm days and cool nights, which preserve acidity and enhance aromatic complexity. Hand-harvested and gently pressed, the juice is fermented in stainless steel with native yeasts to capture freshness and varietal character. The 2024 vintage delivers an elegant profile—floral and fruit-forward on the nose, with a dry, saline-driven palate that makes it a versatile companion to meze, grilled octopus, or tomato-based dishes.
