2024 Pavese Ermes Blanc de Morgex et de la Salle, Valle D'Aosta, Italy
Pure, crystalline, and mountain-born, the 2024 Blanc de Morgex et de la Salle from Pavese Ermes is a pristine expression of Prié Blanc grown at extreme alpine elevations. Delicate aromas of alpine flowers, green apple, citrus peel, and crushed stone lead into a taut, bone-dry palate with electric acidity and a long, mineral finish. A wine of clarity and altitude, it beautifully reflects its high-altitude terroir.

ABOUT THIS WINE
Made from 100% Prié Blanc, a rare, indigenous grape grown on its own roots at elevations up to 1,200 meters, this wine hails from the Blanc de Morgex et de la Salle appellation—the highest vineyard zone in Europe. The 2024 vintage offered ideal conditions for slow, steady ripening, producing a wine of precision and lift.
Fermented and aged in stainless steel with native yeasts, the wine undergoes no oak aging or malolactic fermentation, preserving its zesty freshness. Aromas of lemon zest, wild herbs, alpine flowers, and wet stone carry through to a racy, feather-light palate with sharp definition and a clean, saline finish.
ABOUT THIS PRODUCER
Pavese Ermes is one of the most respected growers in the Valle d’Aosta, focusing exclusively on Prié Blanc in the remote village of Morgex. Working with ungrafted vines planted on steep, terraced slopes, Ermes Pavese practices low-intervention winemaking that allows the purity of grape and site to shine. His wines are benchmarks for the region—bright, honest, and unmistakably alpine—with this bottling standing as a flagship example of high-altitude Italian white wine.
