Domaine A.F. Gros was founded in 1988 by Anne-Françoise Gros, daughter of the famous Burgundian winemaker Jean Gros. She built the estate from a small family inheritance into a boutique domaine that now farms about 10 hectares across both the Côte-de-Beaune and Côte-de-Nuits. Together with her husband, François Parent of Pommard, who has overseen the winemaking from the beginning, she has crafted a reputation for refined and expressive Pinot Noir.

Domaine Etienne Sauzet traces its roots to the early 20th century when Etienne Sauzet began acquiring prized vineyard parcels in Puligny-Montrachet. Over the years, the estate grew into one of the most highly regarded producers of Chardonnay in Burgundy, known for wines that balance grace, purity, and depth. In the latter half of the century, the domaine passed to Gérard Boudot, who introduced modern practices while respecting tradition, and later embraced organic and biodynamic farming.

Join us as we take a deep dive into these two seminal producers, each linked to one of the region's two famed varieties.
