South Africa’s wine region is one of the world’s oldest New World wine producers, with a history dating back to the 1650s. The country's wine industry is centered around the Western Cape, particularly near Cape Town, with key regions including Stellenbosch, Paarl, Franschhoek, and Swartland.
South Africa offers a diverse range of microclimates and soil types, allowing for a wide variety of grapes to thrive. Signature wines include Chenin Blanc (the most widely planted white grape), Pinotage (a uniquely South African red variety), Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Sauvignon Blanc. The region is known for combining Old World structure with New World fruit, producing wines that are both expressive and balanced. Sustainable and innovative viticulture practices are also a growing hallmark of the South African wine scene.
This seated tasting is limited to 16 people, will start promptly at 6:00pm at our Westside location, and lasts about 90 minutes.
We will be serving 6 wines + light charcuterie and cheese.
