During this tasting, we will explore three flights of wines side by side, focusing on the similarities and differences between Oregon and Burgundy.
Both regions excel in producing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, known for their complexity and expression of terroir. Each region emphasizes sustainable farming practices to enhance grape quality.
However, Burgundy features a continental climate with cold winters and warm summers, while Oregon’s Willamette Valley benefits from a moderate maritime climate, leading to brighter fruit profiles. Soil types differ as well: Burgundy's clay and limestone provide depth, whereas Oregon's volcanic and sedimentary soils result in vibrant, fresh wines.
