Spain’s most famous red wine regions sit just a few hours apart, yet Rioja and Ribera del Duero produce remarkably different expressions of Tempranillo. In Rioja, centuries of tradition and long aging in oak create wines of elegance and complexity, while Ribera del Duero’s high-altitude vineyards deliver darker, more powerful wines shaped by intense sunlight and dramatic temperature swings.
In this tasting, we’ll pour 6 wines that highlight the contrast between these two iconic regions — exploring differences in terroir, winemaking traditions, and style. From silky, oak-aged Rioja to structured, bold Ribera del Duero, this lineup reveals why Spain continues to captivate wine lovers around the world.
This seated tasting will start promptly at 6:00 pm at our Buckhead location and last about 90 minutes.
