2019 Famille Perrin Vinsobres" Les Cornuds", Rhone Valley, France

The beautiful color of an intense bright red. The nose offers a very expressive aromatic bouquet of black fruit such as blackberries and blackcurrants. On the palate, it is a complex and well-balanced wine with lovely freshness.

The most northern vineyard of the southern Rhône. The Perrin family owns around 60 hectares in one single plot in Vinsobres. The average altitude is 300 meters on hills and terraces. The soil is a blend of stony and sandy marl on the slopes, stony quaternary alluviums on the terraces.

The crop is manually harvested. Upon arrival in the cellar, each grape variety is sorted, destemmed, and vatted separately. The Syrah is vinified in large oak Foudres and the Grenache in stainless steel tanks. The extraction is done by punching down, and the frequency is determined by tasting. Blending takes place after malolactic fermentation.

Famille Perrin's involvement in the wine trade can be traced back to 1909 with the purchase of Château de Beaucastel. Today the 5th generation of the family is involved in every aspect of the business. Famille Perrin's range of wines enable you to discover the richness and diversity of the Southern Rhône Valley. It is no coincidence that Famille Perrin is the leading organic wine grower of the Southern Rhône Valley, where they occupy the region's best terroirs. Their values have given them a worldwide reputation for excellence: absolute respect for the soil, a commitment to manual methods, and a deep belief that organic viticulture is the only way to express the true essence of the terroir. Nature and tradition are key to the Perrin Family approach, which has continued seamlessly over five generations.
