NV Champagne Nominé-Renard Brut, Champagne, France
Elegant, expressive, and finely poised, the NV Brut from Nominé-Renard is a classic grower Champagne that strikes a seamless balance between freshness and complexity. Aromas of green apple, white blossom, and toasted brioche lead into a lively palate featuring citrus zest, almond, and a touch of chalky minerality. Its creamy mousse and crisp acidity carry through to a clean, refined finish.

ABOUT THE WINE
This non-vintage cuvée is crafted primarily from Chardonnay, with supporting roles from Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, sourced from estate-owned vineyards across the Côteaux du Petit Morin and Sézanne. The grapes are hand-harvested and vinified in stainless steel to preserve purity of fruit, followed by extended aging on the lees for a minimum of 3 years—well beyond the regional minimum. The result is a Champagne that offers generous orchard fruit, subtle toasty nuances, and a lifted, saline edge. A precise dosage balances the wine’s vibrancy without muting its mineral backbone. Versatile and food-friendly, it’s well-suited to pairings like oysters, triple-cream cheeses, smoked salmon, or delicate poultry dishes.
ABOUT THE PRODUCER
Champagne Nominé-Renard is a family-run grower Champagne house based in Villevenard, founded in 1960 by André Nominé. Today, the third generation oversees the estate, maintaining a deep-rooted commitment to quality and terroir expression. The family farms 20 hectares of vines using sustainable viticulture across multiple terroirs in the Marne Valley and its surrounding hillsides, with a focus on low yields and meticulous vineyard care. The house philosophy emphasizes long aging, traditional methods, and minimal intervention to craft Champagnes of precision and character. Nominé-Renard’s wines offer a compelling alternative to larger houses, delivering depth and authenticity in every bottle.
