ABOUT THIS WINE

"Kalkspitz" is a unique blend of 70% Grüner Veltliner, 8% Sauvignon Blanc, 8% Zweigelt, 7% Blauer Portugieser, and 7% Muskat Ottonel, sourced from biodynamically farmed vineyards in the Kremstal region of Austria. The name "Kalkspitz" reflects the limestone ("kalk") soils of the area and the wine's characteristic spritz ("spitz"). Fermentation begins in oak barrels and is completed in the bottle without disgorgement, adhering to the ancestral method of sparkling wine production. This natural approach results in a cloudy appearance and a lively, unfiltered character.
