NV Contratto Vermouth Bianco, Piedmont, Italy
Contratto Vermouth Bianco is characterized by its bold and balanced profile. The aroma is complex, offering a blend of herbal and citrus notes. On the palate, it presents a harmonious combination of zesty herbs, spices, and a subtle bitterness from wormwood and gentian. The finish is dry, making it an excellent choice for sipping neat, on the rocks, or as a key ingredient in classic and modern cocktails.

ABOUT THIS WINE
The base wine for this vermouth is made from 100% estate-grown Cortese grapes, a variety indigenous to Piedmont. The production process involves a meticulous cold maceration of over 50 botanicals, including hawthorn, coriander, chamomile, aloe, cinnamon, mint, ginger, angelica, clove, nutmeg, bitter orange, gentian, nettle, sweet orange, carob, juniper, rhubarb, hibiscus, sage, red cinchona, lemon, elderberry, bergamot, licorice, and sandalwood . These botanicals are extracted using a traditional cold hydro-alcoholic method over a 20-day period. The resulting infusion is then blended with the base wine, sweetened, and fortified with grape-based distillate. The vermouth is filtered to remove all solids and aged in stainless steel tanks for 40 days.
