NV J. Lassalle "Cuvée Préférence" 1er Cru Brut, Champagne, France

Refined, expressive, and classically balanced, the NV “Cuvée Préférence” from J. Lassalle delivers the depth of Premier Cru terroir with the elegance of traditional grower Champagne. Aromas of crisp pear, white flowers, toasted brioche, and lemon zest lead into a silky palate with fine bubbles, chalky minerality, and a supple, dry finish touched by pastry and hazelnut.

ABOUT THIS WINE

“Cuvée Préférence” is J. Lassalle’s signature Brut, composed of 60% Pinot Meunier, 20% Pinot Noir, and 20% Chardonnay—all from Premier Cru vineyards in Chigny-les-Roses and neighboring villages on the Montagne de Reims. This cuvée is crafted in a traditional, multi-vintage style, blending base wines with reserve wines for consistency and depth.
Fermented in stainless steel with full malolactic conversion, it is aged sur lattes for 36 months before disgorgement and finished with a Brut dosage (~7–9 g/L), offering both freshness and approachability. The wine shows Meunier’s soft texture and fruit, Chardonnay’s lift, and Pinot Noir’s backbone—making it an ideal apéritif or a match for shellfish, roast poultry, or mushroom tart.
