Beaujolais is a wine region in eastern France, just south of Burgundy, known primarily for its light, fruity red wines made from the Gamay grape. The region is famous for Beaujolais Nouveau, a young wine released shortly after harvest, but also produces more structured and age-worthy wines from its ten cru villages, such as Morgon, Fleurie, and Moulin-à-Vent (we certainly prefer the latter!). With granite-rich soils and a temperate climate, Beaujolais wines are known for their vibrant acidity and fresh red fruit character. And as far as it's well-earned reputation as a stellar wine for the holiday table? Come see for yourself!
