Beaujolais is a wine region in eastern France, just south of Burgundy, known primarily for its light, fruity red wines made from the Gamay grape. The region is famous for Beaujolais Nouveau, a young wine released shortly after harvest, but also produces more structured and age-worthy wines from its ten cru villages, such as Morgon, Fleurie, and Moulin-à-Vent (we certainly prefer the latter!). With granite-rich soils and a temperate climate, Beaujolais wines are known for their vibrant acidity and fresh red fruit character. Furthermore, noteworthy sparkling & white wines are also being produced!
