Famille Ferrando

As we continue to celebrate Women’s History Month, I wanted to shine a light on one of the most inspiring women in the Rhône Valley: Isabel Ferrando of Domaine Saint Préfert, alongside her daughter, Guillemette.

I have had the pleasure of meeting Guillemette, and I was immediately struck by her poise, her depth of knowledge, and her quiet confidence. It is always meaningful to witness the next generation stepping in with such clarity and purpose—especially when carrying forward a legacy as strong as this one.

Isabel Ferrando has become one of the leading voices of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Since taking over Domaine Saint Préfert in 2002, she has transformed the estate into one of the appellation’s most respected producers. Her approach is thoughtful and precise, with a deep commitment to organic farming and a true respect for terroir.

Her wines are nothing short of extraordinary—powerful yet refined, layered, and deeply expressive. There is a beautiful balance in her work: intensity without heaviness, structure with elegance.

Seeing Isabel and Guillemette featured on the cover of Wine Spectator this month feels incredibly well deserved, and it is truly a privilege for me to be able to share these wines with you.
